The Executive Luncheon

The CYP Club is proud to present our tenth annual Executive Luncheon, powered by Stolly Insurance Group, on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 11:30am-1:30pm at Franklin University’s Ross Auditorium in downtown Columbus!

The purpose of The Executive Luncheon is to connect Columbus-area young professionals with C-Suite executives and community leaders to exchange success stories, career advice, and leadership lessons during a professionally-focused, interactive lunch experience. Each attendee is seated at a roundtable with one local executive and a small group of fellow emerging leaders! (view a list of our past executives!)

Our agenda is as follows:

  • 11:30-11:50am: Check-in. Social networking. Grab lunch.

  • 11:50am-12pm: Welcome & Table Introductions.

  • 12-1pm: One-hour of small group conversations with one of 16 executives. Attendees will rotate tables every 20 minutes, interacting with 3 executives total!

  • 1-1:30pm: Final leadership thoughts & 30 minutes of open forum questions with all executives.

Ticket cost: $25 per person (or $20 for Premium members). Catered lunch & dessert from Freedom a la Cart is included - and you can select your meal on a dropdown menu when you register! Free parking is included.

Attendance for this event will be capped at 100 to allow for maximum interaction between our attendees and executives. Attire is business or business casual.


Executive Bios for 2024

  • Dean of the Ross College of Business, Chair of the Doctorate in Healthcare Administration Program, Director of the Global Center of Healthcare Education

    Dr. Alyncia Bowen earned her doctorate in Organization and Management from Capella University, MSA in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University and Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Capital University. She currently serves as Dean of the Ross College of Business, Chair of the Doctorate in Healthcare Administration Program, Director of the Global Center of Healthcare Education.

    Dr. Bowen serves as faculty advisor and or instructor for the DHA, DBA, DPS, and EdD programs. Dr. Bowen teaches domestically and globally for the University. While at Franklin University she was instrumental in the development and launch of Ohio National University, a division of Franklin University. She also served as Dean of Doctoral Studies and the School of Nursing, Department Chair, Program Chair and Lead Faculty. Dr. Bowen has also served as an instructor for Mount Carmel College of Nursing where she taught and developed curriculum for their Healthcare Systems, Policy and Economics course. She has served as a guest lecturer on the topics of research and project management. In addition to education Dr. Bowen has worked in healthcare for over 23 years and has held several leadership and operations management positions. She is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, has completed 11 projects, and has trained several Green Belts.

    Dr. Bowen enjoys presenting and has presented on the following topics: Developing and Sustaining a Community of Practice, Creating a Culture of Learning, Building, Developing and Implementing Best Practices in a Multi-generational Educational Environment, Cultural Competence, Transformational Teaching and Transnational Education. She currently serves on the Community Board at COSI, Quality Board for Ohio Living and Board of Directors for IACBE.

  • Chris Adams is currently the Director of Recruitment and Outreach for seven graduate programs at The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business. Before his seven years at Ohio State, he was a marketing professional, entrepreneur, and PROSCI-certified change management consultant with over 20 years of experience launching real-world solutions in industries ranging from higher education to finance. He's a notable expert in marketing, admissions & recruitment, end-to-end experiences, business intelligence & analytics, digital advertising, enterprise strategies, project management, and cloud-based tools/technology/software.

  • Director of Global Operations at Lime

    Crew Cypher is a tech-enabled operations executive, having a successful track record building up global businesses at hyper-scale within the mobility space, all being accomplished from Columbus. After serving as the Midwest GM for Lime in 2019, Crew transitioned into his current Director role, overseeing central operations globally for the business. Prior to Lime, Crew served in a variety of roles at Uber, beginning in 2014, all being located within Columbus. These roles at Uber included the following: initially developing and managing the ridesharing industry across Ohio and Kentucky, launching and building up the Brazilian ridersharing business, and globally managing and scaling out courier operations for the UberEats business line.

    Jill Hofmans is the Executive Director of the Conway Center for Family Business. She joined the non-profit membership organization in 2013. As Executive Director, she works closely with the membership including facilitating the C-Level peer groups, developing educational program content and delivery, and engaging with business and community leaders throughout Ohio.

    Jill has worked, volunteered, and held internships in non-profit organizations most of her adult life. It is no surprise, then, that she has a passion for connecting with and serving others. She currently serves on the board of Small Biz Cares.

    She earned a Bachelor’s degree (with honors) from Pitzer College (Claremont, CA) and a Master’s degree (Phi Kappa Phi) in Women’s Studies from San Diego State University.

    In her free time, Jill creates irreverent cross stitch samplers and enjoys happy hour with clients and friends, especially if the venue makes a well-crafted, dirty vodka martini.

    Mary Beth Sullivan is an insurance industry veteran with 33 years of experience, joining Huntington in 2005. She began her insurance career at Buffalo-based Merchants Mutual Insurance where she led product development and underwriting teams for the property & casualty insurer, before joining First Union Insurance (later Wachovia Insurance, subsequently Wells Fargo Insurance) where she gained valuable experience with mergers and acquisitions, including successfully integrating insurance solutions into the commercial bank sales offering. Her role at the Charlotte based company centered on enhancing the property & casualty practice with unique tools, partnerships and services.

    Mary Beth’s focus at Huntington Insurance is to provide the team with the proper resources and tools to deliver exceptional customer value and strategic insights to meet the dynamic needs of commercial and consumer customers. By driving the organization to enhance its capabilities and solutions, Mary Beth is building a team that leverages unique industry expertise to attract new customers and strengthen existing relationships across the Huntington organization.

    Mary Beth graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and is a Board Member of the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers and the YWCA of Columbus.

    Mary Beth lives in Dublin, Ohio with her husband and two children.

  • President, Otto Beatty Companies/Otto Beatty Real Estate/Intelligent Office/OB3 Advisory and Management

    Otto Beatty is an entrepreneur, attorney, and real estate investor. Mr. Beatty has over 30 years of real estate experience as an investor, owner, landlord, consultant, attorney and developer with experience in the single-family, multifamily, industrial warehouse, and the office/coworking asset classes and various types of private lending and private capital fundraising for real estate. Since 2013, he has been the owner operator of Intelligent Office of Columbus, a shared office, coworking and business services facility in Downtown Columbus. Currently, Mr. Beatty is the co-developer of the recently completed Parkwood Headquarters, an Affordable/Workforce housing project on the site of former Ohio Baptist Convention Headquarters in the Near East Side of Columbus. The site has recently been placed on the national registry of historic places by the National Park Service and will be marked with an Ohio History Marker. He also continues to consult and advise with non-profits, small independent businesses and land owners, and churches in the areas of land use and development. He is an active member of the Small Scale Developer Forum, Incremental Development Alliance, and the Columbus Chapter of Urban Land Institute (Advisory Board). Otto has been recognized and listed on the POWER100 LIST in Columbus Business First Newspaper in 2022 and 2023.

    Mr. Beatty serves as a member of the City of Columbus Downtown Commission ,which is the reviewing and oversight body for zoning, adjustment, and signage for all Downtown Columbus projects. He is a former Commissioner on the City of Columbus Development Commission and the North East Area Commission. He is a graduate of New York based Project REAP, real estate associate program and serves as its local market leader for Ohio and Michigan. He has received additional training at Rice University’s Real Estate Investment and Development executive education program.

    Prior to entering into full-time entrepreneurship, Mr. Beatty was a Partner in the national law firm of Baker & Hostetler LLP He was also the Chair of the Ohio Elections Commission, overseeing campaign finance laws in Ohio and member of the Ohio Lottery Commission. Otto is a graduate of Morehouse College and the University of Michigan Law School.

    Prince Garuba currently serves as the Executive Director for the Ohio Association of Goodwill Industries, a role that allows him to channel his passion for workforce development and removing barriers for the people of Ohio. With a background in state politics and policy, Prince has been a dedicated advocate for these causes throughout his career.

    A graduate of The Ohio State University, Prince worked with the former Columbus-based lobbying firm, New Visions Group, which has since merged with Shumaker Advisors, and the State Legislature. Under Prince Garuba's leadership, the Ohio Association of Goodwill Industries has continued its vital mission of eliminating barriers to workforce development. Goodwill is renowned for its commitment to empowering individuals with the tools and opportunities they need to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
