Columbus Impact Academy: Finding Your Place & Purpose

October 9, 2024 • Hosted at Dawson • Cohort X: Session 3 • Photos by LaJuana Taylor

The Columbus Impact Academy is an immersive and unique leadership experience for emerging professionals facilitated by the CYP Club! Over six month, young professionals who are accepted into the program work among a cohort of outstanding individuals to discover a greater sense of place, purpose, and passion while gaining valuable perspective in life-altering areas.

For this leadership session, we facilitated an interactive evening of storytelling with several community leaders who have navigated their place to discover their purpose and passion in life, in business, and for the benefit of their community, including Jeffrey Price, Author of The Ens and Outs of Leadership; Christopher Wyche, City of Columbus Councilmember; Dr. Christian Espinoza, Co-Chair of Hispanic Origin and Latin American (HOLA) Employee Resource Group at Worthington Industries; Simon’e Lighfoot-Williams, Chief Operating Officer at Agape Care & Co-Founder of Minority Autism Connection; and Nic Fortkamp, Real Estate Appraiser at The Robert Weiler Co. & former Executive Director of Leadership UA.
