Otto Beatty III

The Young-at-Heart Award is presented annually by the CYP Club to community leaders who support our vision of engaging the next generation and who approach life with a youthful zeal.

Otto Beatty III, Esq. is currently the owner and managing director of Intelligent Office of Columbus. Through its technology and remote staff, the business provides over 175 small businesses, legal professionals, non-profits, and trade organizations virtual staffing and space solutions, including, but not limited to phone answering, customer service assistance, administrative assistance and hourly office and conference room space.

He is also a Principal in OB3 Advisory and Management Ltd., which provides a consulting and coaching services to organizations and individuals. He is currently servicing as a special consultant to the Ohio Minority Business Assistance Center at the Columbus Urban League.

From 2001 to 2015, Beatty co-owned the E.E. Ward Moving & Storage Co. LLC. He and his partner, transformed a local moving company into a nationally recognized leader in the transportation and relocation industry. The company specializes in commercial, employee, and household relocations, warehousing and customized logistics. E.E. Ward is an agent for North American Van Lines, Inc. and Specialized Transportation, Inc. Established in 1881, E.E. Ward is one of the oldest African-American-owned companies in the United States.

Prior to a full-time career in private business, Beatty was a partner with the corporate law firm of Baker & Hostetler LLP (2003-2007), having joined the firm as an Associate in 1995. He served as personal business counsel to several small companies, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and professionals. In addition, he served as legal and board counsel for the United States Cutting Tool Institute and other trade associations. Prior to joining the law firm, Beatty was a judicial law clerk and staff attorney at the Ohio Court of Appeals.
